4 Things We Learned Connecting a Modern Consumer Packaged Goods Factory
We recently implemented our Visual Factory Software at a factory with an advanced food packaging line. The line included control of product infeed, multiple 'legs' for sharing the load of wrapping individual products, robotic box fillers and case packers, automatic scrapping of non-conforming materials, part tracking through check-weighers, and multiple configurations that it could take for different products.
It was great to work with such a modern piece of equipment, and we were able to learn a lot while helping the customer find ways to improve their processes and make data-driven decisions to optimize their production.

Manufacturing Automation Magazine: "It's MAJiK" - Case Study with Blount International
One of the installs MAJiK recently performed was at the Guelph, Ont., plant of Blount Canada in February 2016.
Blount International is a manufacturer and marketer of chainsaw and other replacement parts, equipment and accessories in more than 110 countries around the world under the brand names OREGON, Carlton and KOX. The Guelph manufacturing facility makes saw chains, chainsaw bars and sprockets.
Jeroen Ahsmann, part of the Guelph plant’s ‘Chain Manufacturing Engineering’ division, says what they wanted from MAJiK was two-fold: real-time and historical reporting on equipment faults, and up/downtime tracking. Read More
